Through emails! There is certainly a time and place for a meeting, but often what can be accomplish in a 30 minute meeting, can just be a simple email.

If it can be handled or summarized in an email and there’s no need for discussion or input, then definitely an email. If it needs to be a meeting, there should be a clear outline of the issue/question, a focused discussion, and action items identified. There should be purpose and intention behind meetings and not just having a meeting for the sake of the meeting.

It depends on what you are communicating about. E-mails are great for direction, follow-up and auditing. But when it comes to collaboration, input and ensuring the team has a voice, in person or virtual meetings are best.
