I agree that there needs to be communication between staff and management to fully explore and understand how working from home can be used in each environment. There are some roles in our organization that just can’t accommodate working from home. There are some that could strictly be remote work. And other are in between. Balance is key. Balancing the needs of the organization, clientele and teams. I appreciate that when working with a team, some face to face interaction is important for cultivating a cohesive team dynamic. Working from home does offer flexibility to staff and, when it can be accommodated with no cost or negative impact to the organization, I think it should be considered.
