Working from home has never been my thing, and for the bulk of the pandemic so far, I worked at the office. I changed jobs a couple of months ago and the new job has been fully remote although it will be moving to hybrid very soon. I have found that I don’t mind working from home as much as I thought I would. There are some opportunities to get some household things done on my breaks and lunch break, which is nice. We have also been able to get some renovations done around the house without taking time off as there is someone home for the contractors. Even though I’m working from home, I do still dress for work as I find it makes it easier for me to make the distinction between “work” me and “home” me. If I’m dressed for work, then I’m in work mode. I’ve also found it easier to get more “me” time in without having a commute and I’m saving lots of money on gas as well.
